My Favourite Supplement For Optimal Performance.
In all my years in the supplement industry I have seen lots of supplements come and go. Plenty of supplements have arrived with much trumpeting and advertising hype at the start and died a slow agonizing death with barely a sound, as the next big thing comes along.
However, my favourite supplement has experienced a slow burn which is gradually fanning into a blaze of epic proportions. It has been in the supplement industry for the past few years but only now is it gaining attention. I will go on the record and predict that this supplement will become one of the few supplements that goes on to become one of the foundation or staple supplements for any sports person engaged in any type of aerobic or anaerobic sport.
Before I tell you what this supplement is, let me tell you all about it’s benefits.
Here are the reasons why I love this supplement and use it religiously.
- Enables fast twitch (type II) muscle fibres to increase performance by up to 15%, resulting in improved endurance, increased strength, faster recovery and improved aerobic and anaerobic function.
- Buffers the acidic H+ ions from lactic acid.
- Increases a naturally occuring anti-oxidant that pools in fast twitch muscle fibres.
- Improves the contractile properties of fast twitch muscle fibres.
- Assists with the efficient production of Nitric Oxide.
- May have protective benefits for the eyes and has potential anti-aging properties.
- Is supported by an increasing body of scientific studies conducted in humans by reputable researchers with no financial investment in the ingredient.
- It is safe and free from negative side effects.
- It can be used by Bodybuilders, Strength and Power Athletes, Martial Artists, Cyclists, Runners, Swimmers, Tri-Athletes, Football Players in short anyone who is involved in sports requiring the types of attributes mentioned in point 2.
- Lastly, it is cheap and highly affordable!
So, by now you are probably screaming at me “What is this awesome supplement!?“
The answer is: BETA ALANINE and for further information (with plenty of scientific references for those of you who want it), I urge you to visit Beta Alanine - the facts for further information.

Good stuff bucko! Tell me something, is that you in the photo?
Later…
No that is not me.
It is a photo of one of my favourite bodybuilders Serge Nubret.
He had a classic physique that most bodybuilders would die for.
Here are more images of him at the following websites.

Serge was born in 1938 and is still training from what I can gather. He was still competing at the young age of 67 and still had an awe inspiring physique. He inspired me as a young kid and still inspires me today to train with a focus on the long term health benefits rather than the short term gratification of improved aesthetics.

Thank you!
Hey,
I’ve never heard of this Beta Alanine. I guess I’m sort of out of the loop when it comes to supplements, because all I’ve ever used was whey and creatine.
What are your personal experience with it? The information I’ve seen it looks real good.
Hi
Partial Bio-I’m a Judo player, training in Japan and I compete about twice a year against guys about 10-15 years younger than me.I put in the necessary work as far as GPP & SPP (Run Stairs,Sandbag lifting,Sprints, bodyweight circuits, barbell complexes, ginastica natural, etc.)
But I am looking for a legal performance enhancer to prepare for my next comp in May.Beta-Alanine looks good but I can’t decide between Biotest and their time release product BETA-7 or Poliquin’s Beta Alanine Supreme with Creatine.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Frankly, any beta alanine product is worth taking.
My personal favourites are Athletic Edge Nutrition’s IntraXcell (a dedicated capsulated BA product which has been tested with grapplers) / Intrabolic ( an intra workout formula with other goodies)and Controlled Labs Purple Wraath (an Essential Amino Acid formula with BA in it.)
You may also wish to supplement with some L-carnitine as it may also provide further resistance against fatigue.
Drop by and let me know how you go.
